Summary: 2025 Earnings Statements are being sent either by mail or electronically. Performers are encouraged to review and verify the accuracy of information on their annual Earnings Statement upon receiving the statement in the mail or accessing it in the portal.

Full story: The AFTRA Retirement Fund (hereafter the “Fund”)  has begun distributing the 2025 Earnings Statements to all registered performers who had covered earnings and contributions reported on their behalf for performance dates during calendar year 2025. These statements will be either mailed to a verified address or made available electronically to portal users whose communication preference is set to “Electronic”.

Registered performers with verified addresses who had covered earnings and contributions reported on their behalf for calendar year 2024 – but not for 2025 – will receive a letter indicating that no earnings were reported to the Fund with 2025 performance dates.

If you receive a 2025 Earnings Statement or a letter indicating that no covered earnings were reported and no contributions were received on your behalf, we encourage you to carefully review and verify the accuracy of this information as soon as possible. If you are a registered portal user, you can sign in to your account at any time and review earnings and contributions reported to the Fund on your behalf.

If you are a registered portal user, you can review your earnings information online via the participant portal at any time.

If you have not created your portal account—this would be the perfect time to create your account and manage your Fund business directly online. You can create a portal account using your Participant Retirement Identification number (PRID). Once your account is created, sign into your account using a trusted device and connection to securely review your recent years’ earnings, submit earnings discrepancies, generate real-time pension estimates, learn your pension status, respond to your annual confirmation notice, submit various forms and inquiries, and much more. If you have not received your PRID, visit the portal help center at myportal.aftraretirement.org/ helpcenter to send a message to a Fund representative by completing the online inquiry form. In your message, include the best telephone number to reach you. Once you receive your PRID, create your account, or sign in to the portal by going to https://myportal.aftraretirement.org.

Keep in mind that covered earnings affect your vesting status under the AFTRA Retirement Plan. While the Retirement Fund relies on employers to make required contributions and report timely and accurate information about your earnings, please remember that you are ultimately responsible for verifying the accuracy of any information that is reported – or not reported – on your behalf.

For questions about submitting an earnings inquiry to report any potential discrepancies or missing earnings, see our Policies for Covered Earnings Inquiries brochure for helpful information. If you already have a portal account, you can sign in to your portal account and go to the “Forms” page to complete and securely submit your inquiry. Or you can download the Earnings Discrepancy Form at www.aftraretirement.org(“Forms”) or print and complete the Earnings Discrepancy Form. Return the completed form along with the required documentation as instructed on the form. If you have questions about your vesting status or benefits under the Retirement Plan, or to speak with a representative, contact Participant Services by calling (800) 562-4690.

Important note: Do not use your Earnings Statement for pension calculations — Request a pension estimate from the Fund. This statement is not a benefit statement (hereafter referred to as a “pension estimate”). Vested participants who are not receiving a pension can request a pension estimate from the Fund at any time. A pension estimate provides only an estimate of your accrued benefit payable at normal retirement age in the normal form of payment. You can also easily generate your pension estimates using the portal estimator. To do this, click the “Pension” tab and select “Online Pension Estimate” to generate your pension estimates.  Just remember that the benefits displayed are only an estimate. Your actual benefit will be calculated when you submit your application to start receiving your monthly pension payment. To request a pension estimate mailed to you, visit www.aftraretirement.org and click on the “Pension Projection” button under Quick links on the right rail of every page.
